description and a drawing of a animal of their choosing, they will read it to

WEEK 14.
This week we first worked on our books on Monday. We continued the house topic. On Wednesday the blue class joined us and we did an activity in pairs to practice ordinal numbers. Then we did a crossword to reivewed fruit and vegetables.
WEEK 13
Hello dear families!
This week we finished unit 3 and began unit 4, the city. We work a lot we the preposition so they can describe where things are located on a picture. To practice that we play games, one of them is part of their homework.
We started drawing on a blank page a table and then using ON, UNDER, NEXT TO, IN, IN FRONT OF and OVER… they draw whatever they wanted in that position. For homework they have to write down the sentence of what they have drawn. Ej ON the table is a … and also if they want they can check the science section on page 34.

week’s homework is for them to write down what they have done during the
weekend using the right prepositions. ON before the days of the week and AT

WEEK 8
This week it has been a bit difference since our teacher was ill and we had the lessons together with the blue class. We enjoyed the lessons becuase we played games and spoke about thanksgiving but we missed our teacher and we hoped she gets better soon.

we started to work on unit 1 “family matters”, we learned new vocabulary and
played with the family tree. For homework they have to do their own family

This week we only had one lesson, because of the holiday, so on Wednesday we had an intense class. We ended the hello! Unit doing the activities and of course playing games!!!

Dear families,
This first week in COAMI English School I Had the chance to get to know your children. We Have been learning new games, like my new version of “in my picnic basket i have...”or spot the differences and while doing that we have reviewed grammar and vocabulary.
Wednesday (13/05/2015)
Today Álvaro was the assistant of the day.
We started the class the same way we finish the last one: with listening
exercises about the weather. We checked the correct writing for the vocabulary
of the unit (cloudy, raining etc.). After these exercises we started something
new, the use of the verb to be in the past (was and were). We copy a table in
the notebook to help to remember it. We also review the pronunciation of how
and who because sometime we mixed them up.

Monday (11/05/2015)
Today Lara was the assistant of the
day. For the first part of the class Natalia, Kike and Felipe went to do a mock
exam, so the rest of us played a game to revise the vocabulary that we had
learnt so far. Once we were all together we started a new unit, unit 8 with is
about the weather. We did listening and writing exercises from both the pupils
and the activity book.
Wednesday (06/05/2015)
Today Angela was the assistant of
the day. We divided the class in two, the first half an hour we were revising
some of the vocabulary that we have learnt so far this year. We did it with the
help of the flashcards and for every word we knew we had a point, Laura was the
winner of the contest!
For the second part of the class we
continued working on unit 7 with a listening of a boy talking about his school
project. We had to answer questions about it in the Activity Book after. When
we finish this we did one more exercise of vocabulary but this time about the
different habitats of animals.

Today some of us did a mock exam to
prepare for the Cambridge exam. The rest of us continued working on unit 7.
First we corrected the homework and then we did reading and listening exercises
and we learnt new vocabulary about the habitat and life of different animals.
Today Laura was the assistant of the week. We continued working with the
adjetives from Monday, this time the teacher wrote a list of adjetives on the
blackboard and in turns we had to put the comparative form. Once all were done
we copied the list in the notebook. Then we did some reading and listening
exercises with the comic of Lock and Key.

Monday (27/04/2015)
Today Álvaro was the assistant of the day.
We spent the day working with the adjetives in their comparative form. We
learnt how to create the comparative adjetives and did several sentences with
them both speaking and writing.
Wednesday (22/04/2015)
Today we started the class with the
riddle: “How many months have 28 days?” we tried to guess the answer and finally Laura did it! After than we
continued talking about the wild animals. We did writing, reading and speaking.

Today we continued working on unit
7. Natalia was the assistant of the day and after she checked attendance and
wrote the date on the blackboard the teacher checked our homework.
Then we did some reading and writing
exercises about the description of some wild animals, and when finished we
created our own descriptions of some others and we read them out loud and the
rest of the class had to guess.
Today we started unit 7 which is about wild animals. We did some
listening exercises where we heard Simon and Stella talking about their
favourite animals: where they live, what they eat etc. We also did some quick
review of the vocavulary from units 5 and 6. Finally we did a few exercises
from the Activity Book.
Homework: SAME AS LAST WEEK: Pupils book page 63 Quiz.

Monday (13/04/2015)
Today we celebrated the Book Day so
we went to school dressed as different characters from “Alice in Wonderland”. In turns explained in class what
character we were and what we were wearing. We talked with our teacher about
our favorite books and comics. We also watched a couple of videos from the
Disney movie and then we talked about them.
Wednesday (8/04/2015)
Today Laura was the assistant of the day. We started the class talking
about our holidays, where we had gone, what we had done … Then we continued working with the books and finished unit 6
talking about plants: the different parts of a plant, the things that we eat
from plants, what kind of things needs a plant to grow. We also started doing
some activities from the revision of units 5 and 6.

copy the questions)

Today Kike was the assistant of the day. We continued working with the
adjetives and with pronunciation exercises. We read Lock and Key out loud in
turns paying attention to the pronunciation of some key words like “idea” “countryside” “blanket” “shall”

Today we continued working unit 6. We did several exercises with
adjetives, some were listening some were writing and then after revising all
the new vocabulary we did a contest to check how well we remembered it. We also

Today we
continued with unit 6. We did reading exercises and revised the new vocabulary
about the countryside. We finish the class talking about the adjetives by
looking at a picture of the Star family.

Today we started the class by
correcting the homework from the Activity Book. Then we started the unit 6
which is about the country and its vocabulary. We did speaking and listening
activities about it. We even did a vocabulary contest by the end of the class.

Today we started the class talking
about the video that we had to watch as Homework and talking about our favorite
character in on finished unit 4 with a
pronunciation exercise and a very interesting reading. We learnt about the
money in Great Britain: pounds (￡) and pence
(p). We even did some maths exercises where we had so add or subtract different
coins!

Today we started
the class with a riddle and then we did
some listening and pronunciation exercises. These exercises are difficult
sometimes so we have to focus and listen very carefully to the CD to understand
the different pronunciations.

Today we continued with unit 4 and
we talked about things that you must do (for example you must be quit in the
library) and things that you can do (for example you can play in the
playground). We also read and listened “Lock and Key” and then talked about it.
Wednesday (04/02/2015)
Today we continued with the unit 4 of the book. We started the class finishing an exercise that
we started on Monday where we had to ask and answer what do you do in each building of the
book’s map.
Then we continued doing different exercises from different units of the Activity Book, when we
finished we rose our hands and then the teacher would tell us what other exercises we could do.
We corrected some of them in the blackboard and others we just corrected them individually
with our teacher while the rest of the class was working. Lara was the assistant of the day

Monday (02/02/2015)
Today we started the class talking about the video that we had to watch as homework. It was a
very funny video and we explained to the teacher what happened in it and then we tried to
guess the different emotions and feelings that appeared on it. Then we continued with unit 4
talking about the city, the different buildings that you can find in it, what do you do in each
building etc. We also did some exercises about if from the Activity’s book and from the Pupil’s
book.
We finished the class by doing a memory game: the teacher gave us 2 minutes to memorize the
map from the book and then with all the books closed she asked about the location of the
different buildings. For example, “Where is the bank?” “The bank is between the supermarket
and the cinema”. Natalia was the assistant of the day.
Wednesday (28/01/2015)
We finished unit 3 by doing some listening activities about the daily routine. We copied some
vocabulary in our notebook and then started Unit 4. This unit is about the prepositions of place
and the different parts of a city. We did another listening activity where we had to look at a
picture of map and to identify the different parts a girl was talking about. Then, looking to the
map, we had to write a sentence with each preposition of place that appeared in the book.
Homework: Activity Book page 36 exercise 1 and the exercises that we were doing in class if
we haven’t finished it.

Monday (26/01/2015)
Today we read some interesting things about how the heart works and the we talked about it
and how out heartbeat can be quick or slow depending of what we do. We did some exercises
from the Activity book from unit 3 and then we corrected them. We finished the class by doing a
game with the flashcards with the vocabulary of the daily routine (wake up, get up, get dressed
etc…)
Wednesday 21st January
Today we continued working with the
adverbs and the days of the week. We did some activities both from the Activity
and Pupil’s Book. Then we read some Lock and Key and talked about it with the
teacher. We finished the class by doing some phonetics exercises with sounds /ɔː/ (horse) and /ʊ/ (book).

Monday 19th January
Today we kept working unit three
which is about the daily routine. After revising our homework we did some
listening exercises and then some writing using the adverbs “always”, “never” and “sometimes”.

Today was out first day after the holidays so after catching up with our teacher about our
holidays and present we spent the rest of the class revising the vocabulary we learnt with some
games and exercises from the books
Wednesday (/12/2014)
Today Natalia was the assistant of
the day.
We started the class checking the
homework and then we did the review exercises of the Activity Book. Some of
them were a little difficult so we helped each others and once we finished we
corrected them out loud with the teacher.
Once we reviewed the vocabulary we
played a little game where we had all the vocabulary flashcards on the
blackboard. The teacher gave to each of us a word-card so we had to find its
flashcards. If we didn’t know we had to pass the word-card to the next one. By the end the one
with most word-cards won! We played a few rounds of this game.

Today Alvaro was the assistant of
the class so he checked the attendance.
We continued
doing exercises from Activity Book and corrected them on the blackboard. Then
we did listening exercises both from the Pupils and the Activity Book.

we had to watch as homework and we corrected the exercises.

Peter was the assistant of the day so he wrote the date on the blackboard and checked attendance.
We continued with unit 2 doing some pronunciation exercises and then we
read Lock and Key and talked about it. Then we did some exercises from the
Activity’s Book, one about numbers and the other with the rest of the vocabulary
related to the unit. We corrected them on the blackboard

MONDAY 24th November
Felipe was the assistant today, he checked attendance and wrote
the date on the blackboard.
We started the class talking about our houses, if we lived in a
house or a flat, the number or rooms etc.
Then we did some reading exercises and finally we did more speaking,
talking about our address.
We also did a listening exercise about the pronunciation of
numbers and then some speaking practicing this too.

the weather.

Today we finish activity 1 by correcting some of the exercises from the
activity book that we had done so far. After that we did some listening about
different paintings and self-portraits, it was very interesting so check how
many we knew before doing the exercises.

On Monday we started the class
checking attendance, talking about the weather and then talking about the video
of the week, we couldn’t believe that there is a 13 years old girl who is training to go to Mars!
After that we continued doing
exercises about the family and we checked the vocabulary with the flashcards.
Wednesday (5/11/2014)
Lara was the assistant of the day.
We started the class doing some listening activities, and then we did a fun one
about pronunciation with the sounds /ɑː/ and /eɪ/. Then, because we are finishing the unit it was time to read some Lock
and Key! We ended the class by doing some exercises of the activity work.
